Buying scope
What we buy: electrical wire and cable, and only that
The scope is deliberately narrow. We buy electrical wire and cable — the material that comes on reels, spools, coils and in cartons — and nothing else. No transformers, switchgear, breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers or industrial machinery. No general scrap.
That focus is the point. A wire buyer who also takes equipment tends to price wire as an afterthought. Everything on this site is organized around the seven cable families below, because those are the lots we can review quickly and quote properly.

Inventory conditions we accept
New surplus, unused, overstock and cancelled-project stock are the core of what we buy. Full reels, partial reels, opened spools, coils, cut lengths and boxed inventory are all reviewed. Cable that has been in service is considered case by case, with an honest description of its history.
- Full and partial wooden reels
- Plastic spools and small coils
- Boxed and cartoned lengths
- Cancelled-project and overstock inventory
- De-energized cable with a documented history
What we do not buy
Transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, motor control centers, generators, bus plugs, chillers, industrial machinery and unrelated scrap materials are outside our scope. If a lot is mostly equipment with a little wire attached, it is not a fit. If it is mostly wire with some equipment mixed in, tell us and we will say what we can do with the cable portion.
Not sure whether something counts as wire? Send a photo and the jacket print. It is a two-minute question and it saves both sides a wasted trip.
Questions
Do you buy cable that is still installed?
No. Cable has to be removed and ready for pickup before it can be reviewed. We do not do demolition or removal work.
What about cable with damaged jacket or crushed armor?
It is reviewed, usually at a lower value, if the conductors inside are sound. Describe the damage and how long the affected section is, and include a photo of the worst part.
Is fiber optic cable included?
Fiber is bought as cable when it is on original spools or in intact lengths. It is reviewed alongside the copper lots from the same site.
Ready to move that surplus wire?
Send the reel details and photos. No cost to submit, and no obligation to accept a quote.
