Questions about selling surplus wire
The questions below come up most often when a Mississippi seller first gets in touch. If yours is not here, call or email and ask directly — a short conversation is usually faster than a long form.
What exactly do you buy?
Electrical wire and cable only. Copper and aluminum building wire, THHN and XHHW families, MC and AC cable, tray, VFD and PLTC cable, SER, SEU, URD and USE-2, bare and insulated copper, grounding wire, welding cable, SOOW, control, instrumentation, communication and fire-alarm cable, low-voltage cable, and medium and high voltage cable from 5kV through 69kV and above.
What do you not buy?
Transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, motor control centers, generators, bus plugs, chillers, industrial machinery and unrelated scrap materials. If a lot is mostly equipment, it is not a fit.
Do you buy partial reels?
Yes. Partial reels are a normal part of surplus. Give the gauge, insulation type and an honest footage estimate, and note the storage conditions.
Is there a minimum quantity?
There is no published minimum, but pickup has to make economic sense against distance. Small lots are often best combined with other material from the same site or the same contractor.
How do I know what my wire is worth?
You do not need to. Send the description and photos and we will review it. If you want to understand what drives the number, the sizes and specs page explains the factors.
What photos should I send?
The reel tag, the jacket print, one wide shot of the lot, the cut end for shielded or medium-voltage cable, and any damaged section. Those five cover almost every situation.
Do you charge for a review?
No. Submitting a lot costs nothing and there is no obligation to accept a quote.
Can you remove cable that is still installed?
No. Cable must be removed and ready for pickup. We do not provide demolition or electrical contracting services.
Do you buy wire that has been in service?
Sometimes. De-energized cable with a known history is reviewed case by case, with attention to age, storage and whether it was ever faulted. Documentation helps.
How is pickup handled?
After a lot is accepted, pickup is scheduled around your access and hours. Tell us about docks, forklifts, cranes, gates, escorts and any site restrictions before the quote is finalized.
Do you have an office in Mississippi?
No. The cities and regions listed are target service areas. Reviews happen by phone and email and there is no staffed office, yard or storefront in the state.
Will you sign an NDA or work through a purchasing department?
Yes, where a facility requires it. Paperwork and approvals are handled before pickup, and the technical review is unaffected.

Wire quote request
Tell us what the wire is, how much there is and where it sits. Photos of the reel tags and jacket print speed up the review more than anything else.
Ready to move that surplus wire?
Send the reel details and photos. No cost to submit, and no obligation to accept a quote.
